KCR is a 'political
sadist' and highly opportunist politician
*TRS has no moral right
to speak on TDP-Congress alliance
*TRS betrayed families of
Telangana martyrs: Sravan
Hyderabad, September 25: Telangana Pradesh Congress
Committee (TPCC) Chief Spokesperson Dr. Sravan Dasoju said that caretaker Chief
Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his son Minister K. Tarakarama Rao have no
moral right to speak anything on martyrs of Telangana.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday,
Sravan said that it was due to the provocative statements made by KCR that led
hundreds of youth and students to suicide during statehood movement.
Calling the TRS as 'Telangana Rowdies Samithi', Sravan said
all betrayers of Telangana have assembled under the banner of TRS. He said
leaders like Srinivas Yadav, Tummala Nageshwara Rao and Mahender Reddy who had
attacked the statehood activists during Telangana movement have been rewarded
with posts of cabinet ministers. He said several anti-Telangana leaders have
been given tickets in Assembly and Parliament. He reminded that Srinivas Yadav
had once threatened KCR that he would not allow him to move freely in
Hyderabad. The same person was rewarded with a cabinet post. Similarly,
Mahender Reddy, who had openly abused Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy in a
filthy language, was also made a minister. He said all 'rowdies' from Hyderabad
and other parts of Telangana have gathered in the TRS. Which family of
Telangana martyrs asked KCR to induct Talasani, Mahender Reddy or Tummala into State
cabinet? he asked.
Sravan said that the TRS leaders have no moral right to
speak anything on possible alliance between the Congress and TDP. He asked TRS
leaders to clarify as to why and from when TDP and its president Chandrababu
Naidu appeared anti-Telangana to them. He reminded that TRS has made an
alliance with the TDP in 2009 elections. Similarly, the TRS had allied with CPI
(M) which openly opposed Telangana formation. He said it was strange that when
TRS enters into an alliance with TDP it is called 'moral' tie-up and when
Congress and TDP join hands it is described as 'immoral' and 'unholy'. He said
though there was no clarity on whether or not Congress and TDP would have an
alliance, but the preliminary indications had created ripples in TRS circles.
Sensing that the TRS boat is about to sink, its leaders have started
criticising the proposed alliance so as to mislead the people, he said.
The Congress leader asked as to why Chandrababu Naidu didn't
look anti-Telangana when KCR visited his house in Amravathi to invite him for
Chandi Yagnam. Why KCR did not think of Telangana's self respect when he
enjoyed eating delicious lunch with Chandrababu Naidu in Amravathi, he said.
Sravan said that the TRS Government has not fulfilled a
single major electoral promise. He said the KCR Government could not even
construct a memorial for Telangana's martyrs during the last four-and-a-half
years by spending just Rs. 50 crore. However, KCR constructed a palatial
bungalow for himself at a cost of Rs. 500 crore. He said nearly 1500 martyrs of
Telangana remained unidentified and their families untraceable. He said
families of only 400 martyrs were paid Rs. 10 lakh financial assistance.
However, they are yet to get promised jobs, double bed room houses and three
acres of land. He said KCR Government did not spend just Rs. 150 crore on the
families of 1500 Telangana martyrs. But TRS Government paid Rs. 2-3 lakh crore
to Andhra contractors.
The TPCC Chief Spokesperson said that KCR has cheated the
Muslims and STs on the promise of 12% reservation. Similarly, he cheated all
other sections of the society. Instead of being accountable for his failures, KCR
has dissolved the Assembly nine months of ahead of schedule. People had given
TRS a mandate for 60 months. However, by advancing elections, KCR has betrayed
all the citizens who voted for TRS in 2014, he said.
Sravan said Congress party was making promises of waiving
off crop loans up to Rs. 2 lakh in a single take, unemployment allowance of Rs.
3,000 per month to jobless youth, etc., as it was focussed on people's welfare.
He described TRS as a gang of Charles Shobraj and said KCR and family remained
concentrated on benefitting contractors. He said unlike TRS, the Congress party
honours all the promises that it makes with the people.
Calling KCR a 'political sadist', he said that the TRS chief
was a highly opportunists politician in the country. He said KCR had entered
into a secret deal with the BJP to advance Assembly elections. He said KCR had
taken permissions from Prime Minister Narender Modi before making any move
including dissolution of Assembly. Despite being a slave to Modi himself, KCR
is advising people that they should not become a slave to Delhi, he said.
Sravan said that the Congress was a national party and
therefore, its High Command is in Delhi and it takes all decisions keeping
national interest in mind. He warned TRS leaders to have control over their
language and tone. Else, he said Congress leaders were capable of answering TRS
in much harsher tone and language. (eom)
