Hyderabad, October 17: All India Congress Committee (AICC) National Spokesperson Dr. Dasoju Sravan expressed happiness over the cancellation of TRS public meeting, which was to be addressed by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, in Huzurnagar today due to heavy rains.

Addressing a press conference in Huzurnagar, Sravan said even nature has turned against CM KCR and prevented him from boarding a helicopter to reach Huzurnagar. "While the rough weather in Hyderabad forced KCR to abort helicopter ride, for the first time during the campaign, it rained heavy at the public meeting venue leading to its cancellation. This was nothing short of a God's miracle. The Almighty wanted to prevent people of Huzurnagar from listening the speech of a habitual liar. These are clear signs that even God and his nature were against KCR and TRS Government," he said.

Sravan said if there was a public meeting, then KCR would have spoken a bundle of lies consisting of false claims and hollow promises. Therefore, God saved the people by sending heavy rains both in Hyderabad and Huzurnagar, he said. "KCR is facing the curse of RTC employees, jobless youth and other sections of the society whom he betrayed. He did not show any sympathy or concern towards anyone and did utter injustice with everyone in a brutal and dictatorial manner. Therefore, God prevented his entry into Huzurnagar to save the people from further manipulation," he said adding that the way nature rejected KCR, TRS would face similar rejection by people on October 21 when they would vote in favour of Congress candidate Uttam Padmavathi.

The AICC Spokesperson strongly condemned the Chief Minister for not obeying the orders of High Court on RTC strike. He said KCR has reportedly refused to initiate talks with the RTC employees or process their September salaries on the grounds that High Court had not given any written orders. Accusing the Chief Minister of contempt of court, he said KCR must scale down his arrogance. Else, he said his downfall would come earlier than expected. He slammed KCR for stopping the salaries of RTC employees and said that the Chief Minister was not making the payment from his personal pocket. He said it was people's money which must be paid to public servants for their service.

Sravan said KCR's actions fit into the famous saying "Vinaasha Kaale Vipareetha Buddhi" (When faced with disaster, minds often become abnormal). For the same reason, he said KCR was taking all wrong decisions and turning everyone into his enemy.

He said that the victory of Congress party in Huzurnagar bye-elections was essential and in the interest of people of Telangana. "If TRS candidate Saidi Reddy wins, he will be just another 'Kaurava' and one among many slaves of KCR. In TRS party, even ministers have no access to the Chief Minister and MLAs have no authority to raise their voice. Therefore, Saidi Reddy's victory will not benefit the people of Huzurnagar in any way. Contrary to this, if Congress candidate Padmavathi Reddy wins, then the opposition will get stronger and she would raise people's issues in the Assembly and outside," he said.

Sravan also condemned use of money and liquor by TRS party to lure Huzurnagar voters. He said TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy brought huge development in Huzurnagar by way of constructing roads, schools, hospitals, lift irrigation schemes, degree college and other infrastructure. However, he said TRS leaders want to stop this development process by bribing the voters. He demanded that the election authorities keep a strict vigil on the distribution of money and liquor in the constituency in the next three days. (eom)
