Hyderabad, October 12: AICC spokesperson and senior Congress leader Dasoju Shravan warned Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of severe backlash from Other Backward Classes(OBCs), if Government does not conduct caste census to ascertain OBCs population and provide reservations accordingly in the upcoming Municipal Corporations elections. Saying that TRS Government has been betraying OBCs through political trickery, Dasoju Shravan demanded for conducting OBCs census through BC Co-operative Finance Corporation and also implement OBC categorisation even in elections alike in education and employment spheres.

 

"TRS government is betraying OBCs through political trickery. In the Panchayath Raj Act brought out in 2018, Govt announced 34 percent reservations for OBCs to woo them. But the same government has obstructed the implementation of these reservations in Panchayath Raj elections by adopting sly tactics. A Gopal Reddy, a TRS leader, approached the High Court against 34 percent reservations for OBCs, saying that it will breach 50 percent cap on reservations rule. The Telangana Government announced that it will approach the Supreme Court to ensure 34 percent reservations, but did not even fight in the case. As a result, OBCs have lost opportunities in Panchayath Raj elections. Telangana Government is once again trying to deceive OBCs in Municipal Corporations elections and called for a Special Assembly Session to make amendments to GHMC Act. But now we are warning CM K Chandrashekar Rao that, OBCs we will launch a mass agitation against TRS Government, if it goes ahead to conduct Municipal Corporation elections without taking up OBC voters survey and categorisation," said Dasoju Shravan, speaking at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday.

 

As Government is holding a special session of Assembly on Oct 13 and special session of Council on Oct 14, Dasoju Shravan said, "Telangana state was formed with sacrifices of SCs, STs, OBCs and Minorities. It was the people from downtrodden sections who sacrificed their lives for the separate state, believing that their lives will become better and social justice will be achieved. Another important feature of Telangana state is more than 90 percent of people belong to SC, ST, OBC and Minorities sections. BCs form more than half of the population with 52 percent share in total population of the state. Just because your Government has majority you cannot bulldoze and suppress aspirations of downtrodden sections. Opinions of all the stakeholders should be taken before making amendments to GHMC Act in Assembly. A scientific survey of OBC voters has to be done before conducting elections for Hyderabad, Warangal and Khammam Municipal Corporations elections. Or else Government has to get ready for backlash from OBCs in Telangana."   

                   

"Not just OBC census, but there is an urgent need for even categorisation of OBCs. There are about 113 OBC communities in Telangana. Among them about 100 castes did not even get any political representation till now. They have not even become sarpanches or ward members. Only few OBC communities have been enjoying reservation benefits. I want to clarify that there is no word like 'BC.' You can only say BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E. If the downtrodden sections have to get representation in political activity and the the true spirit of democracy has to be achieved, then OBC categorisation has to be done and reservations provided accordingly," further said AICC spokesperson Dasoju Shravan, raising his voice for OBC categorisation.                 

 

Dasoju Shravan cited the example of neighbouring state Karanataka in case of OBC categorisation and urged Telangana government to follow the same model in ensuring justice for OBCs.

Hyderabad, October 4: AICC spokesperson Dasoju Shravan criticised Telangana Governor Tamilsai Soundararajan saying that it is not Congress party but Governor who is indulging in politics at Raj bhavan. Senior Congress leader found fault with Telangana Governor for her comments on Congress party's agitation over 80 crore farmers issues.

 

"When Congress party requested an appointment with Governor to give a memorandum on farmers agitation against newly brought in farm bills, she refused citing COVID-19. Congress party clearly mentioned that the delegation would consist just two or three senior Congress persons and if Governor is not ready to receive memorandum, we will atleast present it to her public relations officer or laison officer. She refused even then and did not even permit to leave the memorandum at Raj Bhavan entrance. In spite of it, Congress leaders did not say a word against her. But it is highly condemnable that Governor Tamilisai has termed our agitation and struggle for saving Indian farmers as a political drama," said Dr Sravan Dasoju addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad.

 

"It is uncharitable on the part of Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan that she termed our concern towards farmers as political drama and denied permission citing Coronavirus. But at the same time, she has given permission to Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao, to visit Raj Bhavan and felicitate her husband Mr Soundararajan, who received Dronacharya Award. Even Congress party is happy about Mr Soundararajan's accomplishment but why did not Governor think of COVID-19, while meeting CM KCR? Moreover, not even basic precautions were taken when photoshoot took place with KCR' at Raj Bhavan. Governor should realise that it is not Congress but herself indulging in politics at Raj Bhavan," pointed out Dasoju Shravan speaking on Sunday.

 

"Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan denying appointment to Congress party on an important issue affecting crores of farmers but meeting CM KCR for a personal program, proves BJP-TRS collusion. We respect Tamilisai as a woman leader and doctor and welcome several of her initiatives. She should also reciprocate the goodwill and stop step-motherly treatment of Congress," stressed Dasoju Shravan.

Earlier in the day, Dasoju Shravan also dashed off an open letter to Governor Tamilisai urging her not to turn Telangana Raj Bhavan into a political adda by showing favouritism towards ruling TRS and unleashing vendetta politics against opposition Congress party. Ends

కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం covid కొత్త గైడ్లైన్స్ ప్రకారం, దాదాపు అన్ని కార్యకలాపాలు యధాతదిగా ప్రారంభం అయినాయి. జనజీవితం పునస్థితికి వచ్చింది. అటువంటప్పుడు కరోనా నెపంతో, కాంగ్రెస్ బృందాన్ని కలవడానికి విముఖత చూపించి, ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారిని మాత్రం సన్మానం పేరుతో కలువడం లో ఉన్న మీ రాజకీయకోణం మాకు అర్ధం కావడం లేదు. తెరాస మరియు బీజేపీ కి  లోపాయికారి ఒప్పందం ఉన్నట్లు మరో మారు స్పష్టమైంది.

కోట్లాదిమంది రైతుల మెడకు ఉరితాడుగా భావించే చట్టాలను ఉపసంహరించుకోవాలని కోరడం నేరమా? మీరు ప్రజల పక్షాన రాజ్యాంగ అధిపతిగా ఉన్నారు. మీకు సమస్యలను నివేదించడం ప్రజల హక్కు. అలాంటి హక్కును, మీరు కాలరాసి పైగా ప్రతిపక్షాన్ని హేళన చేయడం మీ స్థాయికి తగదు.

కోట్లాదిమంది రైతుల పక్షాన మిమ్మల్ని  ప్రధాన ప్రతిపక్షం కలుస్తామంటే మీరు, అనుమతి ఇవ్వని మీరు కాంగ్రెస్ ను ఒక రాజకీయ డ్రామా  చేస్తున్నారంటూ అవహేళన చేశారు. మరి కాంగ్రెస్ నాయకులు వస్తే కరోనా వస్తది, కానీ గౌరవనీయులైన  ముఖ్యమంత్రి కెసిఆర్ గారు వస్తే కరోనా రాదా?
ప్రభుత్వాలు నిరంకుశంగా ప్రజా వ్యతిరేక విధానాలు అవలంభిస్తుంటే ప్రధాన ప్రతిపక్షంగా ప్రజల తరఫున వారి సమస్యలను మీకు విన్నవించుకుంటామంటే పట్టించుకోకుండా, మాది  రాజకీయ డ్రామా అని అబాండాలు వేయడం మమ్మల్ని ఎంతగానో బాధించింది. రాజ్యాంగ రక్షకులు అయినా మీరే ప్రజల గోడు వినకపోతే ప్రజలను ఆదుకునేది ఎవరు?  పాలక ప్రభుత్వాల దురాగతాలను  అడ్డుకునేది ఎవరు?   ప్రజాస్వామ్యాన్ని  కాపాడేది ఎవరు?  అందుచేత ఇకనైనా మీరు ప్రజల పక్షాన నిలబడాలని,  ప్రజా సమస్యలను నేరుగా మీరు విని, ఆ సమస్యలను పరిష్కరించాలని వినయ పూర్వకంగా విజ్ఞప్తిచేస్తున్నాము.
